Survey investigates Covid-19 impact on local ethnic minority communities

Coronavirus affects different people in different ways. For some it can be a totally asymptomatic infection, whilst for others, it can sadly be fatal.

In response to the stark data showing that our Black Asian and Minority Ethnic communities are more likely to be affected by Covid-19, a Sussex wide programme has been created, with the aims to

  • better understand the experiences and challenges faced by local BAME communities during Covid-19 and
  • use that information to inform and challenge our services to better support and protect our communities during the pandemic and beyond.

A survey has been devised and developed by The Trust for Developing Communities on behalf of Sussex NHS Commissioners to explore issues surrounding coronavirus and its impact on Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in Sussex.
